FCCA helps newly arrived artists by offering information and advice regarding metropolitan area arts schools, classes and facilities. Where appropriate, we write letters of recommendation on behalf of visual artists who are pursuing grants or fellowships.

We offer our Visual Artist Members advice and technical assistance in identifying funding prospects and grant writing, community exhibition space, studio rentals, marketing and public relations.

 

FCCA also offers programs designed to help teaching artists in all disciplines. We match qualified teaching artists with Queens' schools to create artists-in-residence programs in school districts where we have existing arts partnerships. We also provide technical assistance to the resident artists, helping them to strengthen their marketability with workshops on curriculum development, presentation, assessment tools, and knowledge of the Learning Standards.
