Sun Jul 13th - Sun Aug 17th Annual Members Exhibition: A Perfect Celebration - Artists Commemorate Flushing Council’s 35th Anniversary
Visual artist members of Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts show their work in this exhibition, which is a yearly tradition at historic Flushing Town Hall.

Artists working in any medium are invited to bring in slides, CDs or a few samples of their work. Each artist is allotted a time to speak, followed by Q & A while we network over cookies & coffee. The public is also invited to meet artists and join in the discussion. Starts at 12:00 PM.

Whether you’re a student, jazz musician, or music educator, come join the Queens Jazz OverGround as they lead the house band in this monthly jam session. Don’t play? Come listen! Starts at 7:00 PM.
Sun Aug 10th BRIAN CLAYTON & THE GREEN RIVER BAND
For Families: Influenced by Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, John Mellencamp, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Brian Clayton & The Green River Band blend modern contemporary country music with today’s commercial pop rock sound. Starts at 1:00 PM.
Sun Aug 10th FULL MOON DRUMMING WORKSHOP
For Families: Join us for a drum circle under the August moon in Flushing Town Hall’s beautiful garden with master drummers Babloe Shankar. Begin with workshops on Indian tabla drums and other percussive instruments, then jam with the entire group. Starts at 7:00 PM.
Sun Aug 24th THE AFRI-GARIFUNA JAZZ ENSEMBLE
For Families: Known for exciting and exhilarating performances, The Afri-Garifuna Jazz Ensemble infuses the indigenous rhythms and music from Saint Vincent and The Grenadines with African, Latin and Jazz Rhythms, creating a high-energy music-and-dance spectacular. Starts at 1:00 PM.
Wed Aug 27th - Fri Aug 29th KOREAN CULTURE SUMMER CAMP
For Families: Join us this year for the 5th annual Korean Culture Summer Camp, and explore the magical wonderland of Korean goblins through traditional folk songs, dance theater, and art! Students will have the opportunity to make their own dokkaebi (Korean goblin) costumes, learn how to perform a sogo dance, and play traditional games.
