Within the Emperor's Garden - The Ten Thousand Springs Pavilion
Exhibition begins October 16th. View the Installation: October 12th & 13th, 12-5pm. Gallery Hours: Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm. Based on the original Wan Chun Ting pavilion that majestically stands on the east side of the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City in China, this highly detailed 1:5 scale replica is made of red sandalwood, prized in Imperial China, and constructed using mortise-and-tenon joinery. The exhibition was organized by the Smithsonian’s Museum Conservation Institute, with assistance of the China Red Sandalwood Museum and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Starts at 12:00 PM.

Opening Reception on November 19, 5-7pm. Gallery Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 12-5pm. Literary style paintings that bring to life scenery, landscapes, plants and flowers of the vibrant sceneries and landscapes and “four gracious plants” that are fundamental to Korean painting - plum blossoms, orchids, chrysanthemums and bamboo. Starts at 12:00 PM.
