Workshops & Assemblies

Flushing Town Hall offers a range of arts-education services, including: one-time workshops for school groups visiting FTH or our artists go to your school; or in-school assemblies designed to serve many students with a high-quality performance. Flushing Town Hall’s arts education programs captivate imaginations, broaden students’ arts and cultural experiences and provide meaningful connections between classroom subject areas and the arts.

Workshops are conducted by our Teaching Artists with deep connections to the arts and cultural practices they teach. We offer workshops in Chinese Calligraphy, Mexican Paper arts, Korean Dance, Indian dance & yoga and more. Each workshop meets benchmarks from the NYC Blueprint for the Arts or the New York Core Standards.

Workshops at Flushing Town Hall start at $225 / 75 minutes for 30 participants maximum or $275 / 75 minutes at your site. Click here to make reservations.

If you cannot come to Flushing Town Hall, we offer professional music and dance ensembles at your school for an assembly.  Students will be introduced to forms such as: Matinecock Storytelling & Music, Latin Jazz, Indian Kathak Dance, Chinese Juggling and Folk Dance, Mexican Dance, West African drumming & dance, Korean drumming & dance, and Colombian music and dance.  Consider an assembly to reinforce social studies curriculum and cultural content.

Assembly fees vary depending on the program and the number of performing artists. Click here to make reservations.
