A mercurial early life influenced me to become a keen observer and collector of visual and experiential stimuli. Working fluidly across a variety of mediums, there is a childlike freedom in working with and responding to a medium or material’s essence. This allows the creative process and the artwork to unfold in an organic way. Free association is central to my process. Working intuitively always felt natural; lines, brushstrokes and forms are arranged, edited and rearranged until the final piece is revealed. While the body of work might initially appear
eclectic, there is strong underlying appreciation for balance, rhythms, proportion, harmony and deep respect for the raw materials and essential qualities of the medium.
