Some grants give money directly to artists, while other types of grants require individual artists to have a fiscal sponsor. A fiscal sponsor is a 501(c)(3) public charity organization that agrees to receive and disburse funds for your project. Fiscal sponsorship is a formal agreement between a 501(c)(3) organization and an individual or entity that does not have 501(c)(3) status, in which the 501(c)(3) organization provides financial and legal oversight to the fiscally sponsored individual or entity. The following organizations offer fiscal sponsorships to artists and artistic projects. Please contact the organizations below with any fiscal sponsorship inquiries.
