Lina Liu was born in Harbin, China, and began professional acrobatic training at age nine. She is the originator and innovator of a new-generation Chinese foot-juggling umbrella act, advancing the traditional form through new techniques, structures, and stage presentation. Her career spans education, professional sports, and international opera stages. A two-time Guinness World Record holder and China National Acrobatic Gold Award recipient, Lina represented acrobatics at the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People Broadcast live on CCTV-1. International credits include the World Expo in Japan, Lincoln Center Festival, Royal Opera House, Théâtre du Châtelet, and major international arts festivals.

After moving to New York in 2016, she continued performing on major U.S. stages and now performs halftime shows for more than 30 NBA teams each year, frequently featured on NBA TV. Lina’s ensemble brings professional acrobatics and Chinese cultural arts to New York schools, libraries, and communities through performances, workshops, assemblies, and interactive educational programs for all ages and backgrounds.
