Lee will guide you step-by-step to create your own symbolic horse painting, celebrating vitality, luck, and new beginnings. This family-friendly session is perfect for budding artists and curious creatives (recommended for ages 7+). All materials are provided, and no experience is needed. About the Artist
Stephanie S. Lee is a Korean-American visual artist, educator, curator, graphic designer, and children’s book author based in Queens, New York. Drawing from Minhwa—the vibrant tradition of Korean folk painting—her work explores the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary life through storytelling, symbolism, and community-centered engagement. She is the founder of KoreanFolkArt.org, a platform dedicated to preserving and sharing Korean folk painting through exhibitions, educational resources, and hands-on workshops. Lee also founded The Garage Art Center, a nonprofit arts space in Queens that fosters cross-cultural dialogue through exhibitions, artist talks, and community-based programming.
