Moderated by Natalie Bedon, Project Manager of the Queens Cultural Mapping Initiative, this conversation will feature cultural leaders preserving and reimagining historic houses and heritage sites across Queens:
- Carl Ballenas — Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery
- Debby Silverfine — Voelker Orth Museum
- Kelsey Brow — King Manor Museum
- Ran Yan — Lewis Latimer House
Panelists will explore how historic sites preserve Queens' diverse histories while serving as vibrant spaces for arts, education, and community engagement. The conversation will address the challenges of preservation, funding, and sustainability, as well as creative approaches to programming, partnerships, and engaging new generations.
The event will conclude with an audience Q&A and community mixer. Drinks and light refreshments will be available.
