KC Trommer

KC came to FTH in September 2025 as a creative communications and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in running communications teams for universities and nonprofits. In her previous role as Director of Communications for International House and during her tenure as Director of Communications at NYU Gallatin, KC led rebranding efforts and digital transformations and event marketing both institutions, including NYU Gallatin’s 50th Anniversary in 2023 and I-House’s Centennial Celebration in 2024. 
 
KC is a Queens-based writer and literary organizer and founder of the collaborative project QUEENSBOUND. A graduate of the MFA program at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, KC is the author of two full-length collections of poetry, We Call Them Beautiful (Diode Editions, 2019), winner of the Diode Editions Book Prize, and the forthcoming Paragones. Her work has been recognized and supported by the Center for Book Arts, City Artist Corps, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Queens Arts Fund, the New York Public Library’s Cullman Center, Onassis Foundation USA, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, and the Queens Museum, among others.  

KC is inspired by FTH’s mission to serve as a hub for global arts, local artists, and a site for equitable community engagement. She lives in Jackson Heights, Queens, with her son.
