Flushing Town Hall COVID Safety Policy

Updated March 8, 2022

Although as of March 7, 2022, New York City has relaxed its covid policies for indoor arts and entertainment events, at Flushing Town Hall we will be maintaining our existing policy for the safety of our audiences, artists, and staff.  This policy will remain in effect until further notice, and we will continue to monitor the situation and make updates if warranted.

Flushing Town Hall’s current policy is:
  1. All staff, audience members, and visitors to Flushing Town Hall must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 upon entry.  People 12 and older attending events at Flushing Town Hall are now required to show proof they have received two vaccine doses, except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Children ages 5 to 11 must also show proof of full vaccination.  During public events, Flushing Town Hall will set up a check-in desk at the front entrance for the purposes of checking proof of vaccination.
    • Acceptable documentation of vaccination status include:
      • NYS Excelsior Pass
      • NYC COVID Safe App
      • Clear Health Pass
      • Physical CDC Vaccination Card
      • Physical NYC Vaccination Record
      • Physical proof of overseas vaccination
  2. Staff, visitors and audience members must continue to be fully masked during events and should also continue to practice social distancing when possible.  All staff must continue to follow CDC-recommended hygiene practices around hand-washing and sanitization.
  3. Until further notice, Flushing Town Hall will maintain a 50% capacity limit for FTH-produced public events (150 patrons in the theatre, 50 patrons in the gallery).
  4. Rental events will be subject to a 70% capacity limit (210 individuals in the theatre including all staff and performers; 70 individuals in the gallery including all staff and performers).  All rental events will be required to have Flushing Town Hall staff check proof of vaccination at the door, and Flushing Town Hall staff will have full discretion to deny entry to any individual who does not have proof of vaccination or proof of an exemption named above.
  5. Delivery people or short-term vendors do not need to show proof of vaccination for entry, but must remain fully masked for the duration of their stay.
  6. Vendors who must perform tasks within the building (maintenance and repair contractors, piano tuners, etc.) must remain fully masked for the duration of their stay, regardless of vaccination status.
  7. Flushing Town Hall will continue to maintain CDC-recommended cleaning protocols for the building following all public and rental events.
