Eclipses Group Theater NY in collaboration with LaGuardia Performing Arts Center will present Euripides’ powerful anti-war tragedy The Trojan Women, May 14–17, in The Little Theater at LPAC.
A searing portrait of war’s aftermath, The Trojan Women centers on Queen Hecuba and the women of Troy as they confront enslavement, loss, and displacement following the fall of their city. Written more than two thousand years ago, the play remains profoundly resonant in its examination of grief, survival, and the human cost of conflict.
Directed by Ioanna Katsarou, Co-Artistic Director of Eclipses Group Theater NY, with a new translation and original music by Demetri Bonaros, Co-Artistic Director, this production brings one of the ancient world’s most enduring dramas to Queens audiences through a special partnership between LPAC and Eclipses.
The production features a multicultural cast of professional performers.
Tickets for General Admission are $25 / Student $10
