Join us for an afternoon of art, sound, and creativity as we celebrate the beauty of the Rockaways. This pop-up exhibition and artist talk will feature the work of Destinie Adelakun, who will share insights into her creative process and the inspiration behind her pieces. The event will also include a sound healing opening ceremony by Phonetic Wisdom and a found object adornment workshop led by Sasa Juste of Birthright Creations.
Destinie's exhibition will showcase a collection of works created with the support of New York's Arts Foundation and Flushing Town Hall. These unique pieces were crafted from materials she collected during her beach clean-up efforts in the Rockaways this summer, making each artwork a reflection of the local environment and her commitment to sustainability.
As we close out the fall season and prepare for the winter, this event promises to provide refreshments and pure good vibes. It's a perfect opportunity to connect with the arts community, enjoy the serene setting of the Rockaways, and find inspiration as we head into the colder months.
