“We Are What We Grow” a special community art exhibition. The display will be open to the public from September 10 through 22, in the auditorium lobby.
Join us at the opening reception on September 15 at 10:30am to 12pm at the lobby. This event will celebrate the collective efforts of local artists, QBG’s volunteers and community members who came together to create this unique artwork.
Under the guidance of Queens-based artist Dani Changah Song, participants engaged in eco-printing workshops to craft a textile art using plants cultivated at the Queens Botanical Garden.
“We Are What We Grow” highlights the beauty of local flora and the strength of community collaboration, celebrating both the natural diversity of Queens and the shared cultural contribution of its residents
This project is supported by funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, Statewide Community Regrants Program (formerly the Decentralization program) with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and administered by Flushing Town Hall.
