Artist Statement

About The Artist

Eddie Abrams is a retired teamster and postal worker. He has been painting since 2004, when he began to study with Vivian Christopoulos at the Brush and
Easel Painting School in Flushing, New York. Since then, he has exhibited paintings at the Austin Ale House in Kew Gardens, Vesuvio Italian Restaurant
in Bayside, the Bayside Village Arts & Crafts Festival, Schneps Communications, La Bottega, the Bayside Historical Society at Fort Totten and Flushing Town Hall. His donation of a portrait of Mary Ann Elizabeth Shaw is displayed in the lobby of the Flushing branch of the Queensborough Public Library. He displayed artwork in vacant storefronts in Bayside in an effort to beautify the neighborhood. He was a panelist on the “Uncle Bob Show” at the Jewish Museum in NYC.
