Matinecock, Shinnecock, Inuit, and Yu’pik Artists Panel Discussion

FRI, NOV 3, 2023
7:00 PM

This is a FREE event with RSVP connected with the Pamyua Family Show & Workshop on Saturday, November 4! (Tickets are sold separately.)

Flushing Town Hall no longer requires visitors or performers to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19; wearing a mask is optional but recommended. For more details, please visit www.flushingtownhall.org/covid-safety

Join Tecumseh Ceaser (Matinecock) and Bianca Collins (Shinnecock) in welcoming Pamyua’s (Inuit and Yu’pik) members Phillip Blanchett, Stephen “Qacung” Blanchett, and Aassanaaq “Ossie” Kairaiuak.

They will discuss Indigenous arts and culture, access to traditional music and native languages, and the connection to the land.

This invigorating conversation will be followed by a Q&A with the panelists.

It doesn't end there. The day after this event, Pamyua will hold one of their nationally-renowned workshops and performances at the Pamyua Family Show & Workshop! (Tickets purchased separately.)
