Experience the vibrant legacy of jazz in the heart of Queens this summer! Inspired by the iconic Queens Jazz Trail Map, this free concert series brings the borough’s rich jazz history to life in beautiful community parks—where legends like Armstrong, Coltrane, Fitzgerald, and more once called home.
The Rubén Coca Quintet delivers high-energy jazz and Latin jazz with soulful flair and precision. Led by Mexican drummer, composer, and arranger Rubén Coca—whose style blends second line grooves, swing, and the sounds of NYC—the band brings both passion and polish to jazz standards and original works.
This concert will take place at Rockaway Beach Park in Far Rockaway. It’s free—just show up! Bring a blanket, lawn chair, picnic, friends—even your dancing shoes—and join us for an evening of live jazz in the park!
The Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series is presented by Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College, Flushing Town Hall, and the Louis Armstrong House Museum, in Partnership with NYC Parks.
